Waffa is a small crash pad for protection from up-close impacts. It’s ideal for protecting sit starts, ground traverses and covering over outlying rocks or strange landings.
- Shock absorbent open cell foam, 6cm deep, for short low-level falls
- Tough and super abrasion resistant 1100 denier Cordura® outer fabric
- Fits inside the Project, Mujo and Origin for carrying on the walk-in
The Waffa's 80cm x 50cm landing space gives good coverage for your sit start and fits inside your full pad for the walk-in. It's also small and light enough to use as a bit of protection for your bony/fleshy parts when you're spotting your climbing partners.
Getting your butt off the floor can be the hardest part of a boulder problem. Waffa uses a layer of 4 cm open cell foam to absorb the impact of short sit-start falls. Our foam is also cross-linked, a fancy molecule-bonding process which makes it more shock absorbent and resistant to repeated compressions.
This foam lives in a super abrasion-resistant 1100D Cordura® outer cover with a DWR coating to help it endure the rocky nature of being a bouldering pad. All mat covers are sewn and reinforced with bar tack stitching in our UK Factory next door, and come with a 25-year Alpine Bond.
